  Boy was I lucky. Injured my knee and Dr. Gelb was on call. I have two brother-in-laws who are world class orthopedists --- and they did some intelligence and told me I was with the right doctor. Surgery was long, complicated and successful. The rehab was work, but the results were excellent and 16 years later my knee is still great. Highly recommend Dr. Gelb

  Dr. Gelb is a great surgeon and definitely knows what he is doing. However, his billing department is horrible, the lady is extremely rude and thinks she is the boss. She refused to fill out paperwork, she is unable to explain the "master bill" and she is downright awful to work with. A true monster. Dr Gelb hired a "surgical assistant" to assist with my surgery WITHOUT letting me know or asking my permission. 8 months after surgery I am receiving bills for THOUSANDS of dollars from a "surgical assistant" company. The company is out of my insurance network and I never approved or was notified of their services. How is that legal? I would have chosen a different surgeon if I could go back. The PT department is great and everyone there is super nice

  Dr Woods had the best bedside manner I've ever experienced with a doctor. Like something out of a Full House episode. He is so thorough and knowledgeable it's refreshing. The actual surgery was great. The results were great. I didn't have billing issues with his office, however with the surgery center a bit. Quickly resolved though. Surgery was on the ankle.
