  I Had my appointment for 1:30 when I arrive the office staff said that Dr burton is at the dentist and won't be back until 2:30 this is crazy.. I will not go back

  Dr Burton is nice and provides a competent exam; however, the office is running poorly. Appointments always ran late over the past 4 years I've used their services. This is the primary reason for the low ranking review score.

  I have only seen this doctor once, but it was the most important appointment of my life. I saw Dr. Tracy Burton for a normal yearly pap exam one week before my 33rd birthday. When she examined my right breast it hurt so much that I actually yelped. I became very concerned about the pain while she was doing the exam, and asked her if there was a problem, her exact reply was "you've got lumpy breasts, get pregnant, that will help". When I asked if I should go get a mammogram , she literally laughed in my face and said "no". This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable about the situation (doctors are supposed to listen to their patients). I immediately drove to a walk in ER clinic and told the doctor on staff what had just occurred. That doctor gave me a prescription to get a mammogram. It took all of two minutes for her to fill out the prescription that Dr. Tracy Burton was unwilling to give me due to my age and lack of family history. I had the mammogram less than a week later, afterwards the doctor came out and broke the news that I had two tumors in my right breast. After the biopsy I had a double mastectomy, then chemotherapy, then 3 more surgeries. I called Dr. Tracy Burton after I had my mammogram to give her the results, and to let her know that I had to schedule a double mesectomy, I even sent her a copy of the results. She never once said that she was sorry. The only thing that she did was send me a bill for $35 that I still haven't paid to this day. I know that doctors are human beings, and I know that they make mistakes, but they should listen to their patients and not make assumptions based on appearances. I felt both ingnored and humiliated by this doctor. And had I taken her advice, I would be dead now. It's taken me a long time to be able to trust a doctor again after my experience with Dr. Tracy Burton of Boca Raton Florida OB/GYN.
